Isabel LaRosa New York Concert reviews
Elvis Costello and the Imposters @ the Schnitzer
"First time experiencing Isabel LaRosa and I'm thrilled to have had the chance.
One thing I enjoyed about the performance was the surprise factor, as many songs were selected by audience members either by "spinning the wheel" or using the carnival "hammer/bell" trick ... so out of the 30 songs in the set, 18 were more or less chosen on the spot. Insomuch as the setlist goes, each show will be unique, that's for certain.
In between the musical performances, there were anecdotes shared about Chuck Berry, the Beatles, and Johnny Cash ... Isabel would venture into the crowd at times to select individuals to join her onstage for song choices. The two female dancers were quite engaging, managing to get nearly every person brought up onstage to let loose and hit the dance floor to the side of the stage.
A solid 2.5 hours ... actually closer to 3 hours considering all the comings and goings and encores."
